Our Story
I spent more than 20 years of my life as a UX designer, building other people’s products, solving problems, and shaping digital experiences. But the seeds of my company were planted during one of the most difficult periods of my life.
In early 2020, I lost my mother as the result of a traffic accident. Just a week later, the country went into lockdown at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the world suddenly standing still, I found myself searching for something, anything that could anchor me. That’s when I discovered the world of orchids.
Graduating from the Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society’s Keiki Club
Caring for orchids gave me a sense of calm and purpose when everything else felt uncertain. I started collecting small plants and tucking them into corners of my backyard, which eventually grew into a complete transformation of my outdoor space. I joined my local orchid society, where I later took on roles managing social media and the monthly newsletter, connecting with others who shared the same passion.
Around that same time, I became the UX Architect for an environmental monitoring company. It was a period of intense learning and growth professionally and personally.
Then, in late 2025, I lost my job. It was devastating at first, but it also forced me to pause and reflect deeply on what I wanted the next chapter of my life to look like.
I asked myself: How do I reinvent myself again? What kind of work will bring me meaning?
During a visit with old friends, the answer revealed itself. I realized I could combine my creative background, my lifelong love of art, and my growing passion for orchids into something new something joyful and expressive.
That idea became Blooming Wild.
Blooming Wild is a brand for people who see orchids the way I do, not just as flowers, but as symbols of resilience, beauty, and connection. Every design begins with a real orchid and is transformed into artwork that celebrates the people who love them.
